Welcome to the new C&F blog. Trying to keep you up to date with the work of C&F.

Starting off with a quick post about Romania even tho it was way back in May! We had the privilege of working with The Smiles Foundation back in May, who seek to relieve poverty, promote education and provide hope & opportunity for many through a variety of projects which include Evangelistic Outreach, Food Distribution, Medical Support, Social Assistance, Education, Child Care, Life Skills Training and Housing provision. One of the many projects is the school in Tileagd which the charity built and was the focus for our trip.

We met so many amazing people and took photos of the local children who attended the school for the Charity. Such beautiful people who live in absolutely shocking need with little/no running water, no electricity and some houses didn’t even have windows or finished roofs and live 2 hrs from the UK in the EU. What a joke!

We recently heard some very sad news that Adela (first picture below), our sponsored daughters cousin died from injuries sustained in a car accident in Tileagd back in September whilst fetching water for her family. Adela was a beautiful girl and a fine student. Her loss has been a tremendous shock to the School. Please pray for her family as they come to terms with their loss.

We are planning many more trips in the future to help support them and are spending the whole of August 2012 out there – and of course we will post anything worth sharing here.
